RIM: Rare Purple Pigtails 4/30/12

Hey Jammers!

The new RIM has come! This time it is semi-rare. Meaning, it used to sell in Jam Mart Clothings all over Jamaa. Now, it has come back in an extravagant purplish color. Pretty cool, and it makes everyone happy! We non-rare owners get rares, same with the rarity people, but it isn't their entire rares that leave.

AJHQ has added some BRAND new things today!

Rare Item Monday: RIM 4/23/12

Hey jammers! So, on AJ, there's a new super rare item for sale. It's located in Jam Mart Clothing on the first page. I think its pretty cool. ^.^ What do you think? Plus, it's also for nonmembers! See, AJHQ is listening guys, hopefully more nonmember items will be released soon. So, how am I doing? Should I be trying to post more on this blog? Sorry, I haven't between my own AJ blog, and real life, I haven't been able to post as much. >.< I'll try my best though. Ok, now for the super rare item!

Hey Jammers

Hey Jammers, just a quick post and all. So, how are you all doing? I'll try to post more on here, when my time permits me to. So, when I get the time, what should I post more of? I see a lot of you voted for more updates and all. So, I'll try with that. Ok, now, without further ado, here is today's update from Jamaa.


Hello AJ Central Nooz readers, nothing much new in Jamaa today, just the new hanging anchor in Sunken Treasures of Kani Cove.

Also, there is a new hat at the Atlantis party. Looks pretty cute. Thanks for sending snowyclaw the picture Carmela!

AJHQ sent out a message yesterday about the new Atlantis party. 

No guides nor shamans showed up,
 but this is the the perfect example
 of a hint showing you to a
 shaman's location.

Snowyclaw received one just like it before meeting Graham in the Lost Temple of Zios. So, who knows, we could be seeing a shaman soon! 

Also, I have discovered a new kind of glitch. When you have a pet in your den, and you have your pet  out on your animal, you might just be able to see one, but anyone else who comes to your den, will see a clone of your pet. Pretty wacky, yet cool.

Get a Penguin put any kind of Top Hat on it ( Not the ones at the trading Party. Like a Founders or Freedom hat or anything like that! )
And then just sleep!

Awesome Achievements

Hey Jammers! Nothing seems to be new in Jamaa, but recently I got an amazing achievement. 100,000 gems spent in stores!

It's pretty good, considering I wasn't playing much until a few months ago. What are some of your achievements that you take pride in? See you in Jamaa!

Crazy Clothes

I bet you've all noticed how clothes react with the world of Jamaa, but some of them are just plain glitchy! Tons of things go wrong with them, here are just a few examples:

Wing tips vanish when you jump too
high!

Bunny ears cut off your top
hat!

Top hats vanish when
jumping!

Wings land
 under hats!

Witch hats
straighten!

Bunny hats change
color when you sit down! (Mayksufi
found this glitch)

Fact Icons

With the most recent update there are more different fact icons around Jamaa! Currently there are ones about animals, plants, and geography. I haven't found any achievement for looking at all of them, I hope AJ HQ add this, it'd be a fun activity. Still, they're all very interesting, and i've gotten some samples from around Jamaa.

Nonmember Pets?

It seems that most of Jamaa agrees that nonmembers should have pets, even the members think so! Hopefully AJ will see our request, and deem it reasonable. I personally think it would be fair if a nonmem could have:

• At least one pet. Maybe chosen from just a select few (like our character animals).
• They can't collect rares for pets, kind of like not being able to buy most clothing items. 
• Nonmems should have a taste of all things, even if it's just that, a taste. 

I seriously think AJ HQ is thinking about it, my hint is from the "Pet" info, pictured in the post below.

The key words there are "collect up to," why wouldn't it just say, "own"? Comment with your ideas on what it means!

Sorry Nonmembers

As we all know, nonmembers have a harder life around Jamaa. They can't change clothing colors, they can't buy pets, and they can't buy certain items (and no dens).

But there is a reason for all this. Think of AJ as a business, a store can't go around selling things for free, right? They would go bankrupt! It's the same with Animal Jam, they have to employ people to work on the site, and they have to pay those people.

So what I'm saying is, without memberships, there would be no Jamaa! AJ has reasons for what the don't let nonmems do, it's so they join! In the adult world it's all about profit, that's how the world works.

Issues with the Update

As many Jammers have noticed there are a few small bugs with this new update, for one the Skyway Glitch is becomeing more common. I've noticed tons of Jammers in the sky recently.

Much of the time there seems to be issues loading, I've never had this message pop up before.

And then a little thing is bugging me: the faucets in the pool den don't work! Where does all that water come from?! Does this annoy anyone else?

Shaman Focus: Cosmo

Cosmo, the gentle koala shaman.

Cosmo the koala Shaman is an expert herbalist. He makes up for his small stature by being very animated and cheerful about everything, and feels that even a small person can have a big personality. Cosmo is a true academic, and loves to study books and do field research. He has an encyclopedic knowledge of herbs and their uses, and he's often consulted by other shaman about threats to the natural world. He acknowledges the spiritual world but prefers to concentrate on things that he can see and touch... and eat. As a mentor to new koalas in Jamaa, Cosmo is friendly and patient with beginners. He's a natural born teacher and loves taking a group of students out into a field to study plants. ~AJ Legends

It's hard to know where the koala shaman lives, no obvious markings can be found anywhere, and it's possible that his home disappeared from a previous remodel of the lands. This was proven by the fact that Sir Gilberts cave was removed from Crystal Sands with the most recent update. The pots in Coral Canyons do look like a thing he would hang up, being a herbalist and all.

New Little Things

There are a few little things that are new around Jamaa, hopefully you've noticed! For one there is a new card about the renovated Crystal Sands.

 There is now a new animation for present opening, you can see it in the claw or through a card!

And, as seen in the Jamaa Journal, there is a new pet: a butterfly. I think it will look similar to the one in Temple of Zios.

 Plus, now there are even more colors of clothing available to members around Jamaa, perfect for more outfits.
